CEBO launches CEBO Mud Guide app!
CEBO has launched the CEBO Mud Guide, a new mobile application designed to support professionals
in the HDD industry with the daily execution and planning of their work. The app offers practical tools to calculate drilling fluid parameters, plan projects efficiently, and access up-to-date product information. The CEBO Mud Guide is available for both Android and iOS.
A practical tool for the job site
The CEBO Mud Guide helps users answer key operational questions such as:
- What is the volume of my borehole?
- How much drilling fluid do I need?
- How long will it take to circulate the cuttings out of the borehole?
The app’s built-in calculators make it easy to determine these values. Entered data is automatically stored and shared between different tools, eliminating the need to enter the same figures repeatedly.
Guidance and information
Beyond its calculation tools, the app provides clear, step-by-step guidance for measuring essential drilling fluid properties such as viscosity, density, sand content, yield point, gel strength and fluid loss. Each instruction is designed to help users perform accurate measurements and interpret their results effectively.
Product database and project planning
The CEBO Mud Guide includes a complete overview of CEBO and Baroid products, including product and safety data sheets. Users can also generate an Excel overview of fluid requirements during the planning phase of a project. In addition, the app allows users to submit a mud program request directly to a CEBO mud engineer, who will prepare a tailored program with the appropriate fluid recipes and job-specific details.
Designed for the industry
The app is intended for drillers, planners, and other professionals working within CEBO’s operational regions in Europe and parts of Africa and Asia. It uses metric units and product data relevant to these markets. The CEBO Mud Guide is currently available in English and German, with more languages planned for future updates.
Availability
The CEBO Mud Guide is available free of charge from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, or can be downloaded directly via the QR code above.
