CEBO achieves KIWA BRL 5079 certification for swelling clay products

This certification confirms that CEBO’s swelling clay products comply with the statutory environmental and hygienic requirements for use in Dutch soils.

Certification was obtained in accordance with BRL 5079, the national assessment guideline that forms the legal framework for such applications under the Dutch Soil Quality Decree.

BRL 5079 certification demonstrates that the products are suitable for safe use in soil and drilling applications. CEBO’s swelling clay products meet the highest quality classification, agriculture/nature, and are developed and controlled at a quality level that goes beyond national regulatory requirements.

All products used within these applications, including TUNNEL-GEL PLUS, CEBOGEL OCMA, CEBOGEL Trenchcontrol and CEBOGEL QSE Plus, are covered by this certification. They are specifically designed for HDD projects, vertical drilling operations, grouting applications and other civil engineering specialisms. In addition, these products comply with relevant European standards and guidelines, combining high technical performance with demonstrable and internationally recognised environmental quality.

The value of the certification is reinforced by an intensive and continuous monitoring programme. From raw material selection through to the finished product, structural quality controls and analyses are carried out based on internal quality criteria aligned with national and European standards. This ensures that the products not only meet BRL 5079 requirements at the time of certification, but continue to deliver consistent and sustainable performance in practice.
