On Wednesday, April 30, Cebo Holland hosted the first of three planned lunch sessions focused on safety culture.

During this session, members of the management team engaged in an open and interactive dialogue with colleagues from various departments about workplace safety. The central theme was Stop Working Authority: the right of every employee to halt work when a situation is perceived as unsafe. Real-life examples were shared, and situations were discussed where this "time-out" was either used effectively or not utilized. By exchanging experiences and insights, concrete areas for improvement were identified, and practical solutions were proposed by those directly involved in daily operations.

Other safety-related topics were also addressed. These conversations made it clear that safety is not solely a top-down responsibility—it requires collaboration and engagement at all levels of the organization.

Cebo Lunch

The lunch sessions support Cebo Holland’s ambition to reach Step 4 of the Safety Ladder. This independent certification highlights that true safety goes beyond compliance with rules and procedures. It requires shared responsibility across the entire organization, with a proactive mindset, open communication, and a continuous willingness to learn from and with one another.
