Temporary traffic measures – 18th, 19th, 20th and 24th August

Due to the PreSail IJmond event, temporary traffic measures will be in place in the IJmuiden port area on:

• Monday 18 August 2025: from 11:30 a.m. to 23:30 p.m.
• Tuesday 19 August 2025: from 11:30 a.m. to 00:30 a.m.

Cebo Holland remains accessible
Cebo Holland will remain accessible on both days, although possibly via an alternative route. Please allow extra travel time and take detours into account.

For traffic heading to Cebo, please note the following:

• De Geul, the main access road to the port area, will be partially closed and temporarily converted to one-way traffic in the direction of the Dokweg–Middenhavenstraat roundabout.
• The connection between De Geul and Margadantstraat will be completely closed.
• The roundabout at Kwadrantstraat (intersection Dokweg–Middenhavenstraat) will be partially accessible due to altered traffic circulation.

Additional closures in the port area
During the above time periods, the following roads will also be closed to all traffic, including cyclists:

• Trawlerkade, from the roundabout up to the Linnaeusstraat.
• Side streets of the Trawlerkade:
  - Vuurtorenstraat,
  - Beugstraat,
  - 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st Havenstraat.
• Haringkade.
• Halkade, between the Dokweg roundabout and Margadantstraat.
• Sluisplein, including access from Oranjestraat and Ericssonstraat.

Road Closures during SAIL-In
On August 20th, the following roads will be completely closed to traffic from 07:00 a.m. until the end of the parade, which is expected around 15:00 p.m.:

• Kanaaldijk
• Amsterdamseweg
• The following locations will remain accessible via a detour:
• IJmuiden port area, including:
• Trawlerkade
• Halkade
• Sluisplein / Kop van de Haven

Road Closures during SAIL-Out
On August 24th, the following roads will be completely closed to traffic from 16:00 p.m. until the parade has passed, likely around 20:00 p.m.:

• Kanaaldijk

• Amsterdamseweg

The following locations will remain accessible via a detour:

• Trawlerkade

• Halkade

• Sluisplein / Kop van de Haven

We advise using a route planner to determine the most suitable alternative route at the time, taking the closures into account.
